Some outstanding universities are located in Tucson, including the Art Center Design College, Chaparral College, Apollo College-Tucson, Pima Community College, the University of Arizona-Tucson, Brown Mackie College and many other schools of higher learning. The many universities in the Tucson area bring many students to the area.

Tucson is home to one of the nation’s largest Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festivals. During All Souls Procession Weekend, gatherers, who are often dressed in macabre costumes, simultaneously mourn and celebrate the dead.
